Kotpad handloom is a vegetable-dyed fabric woven by the tribal weaves of the mirgan community of kotpad village in Koraput Odisha,India. the natural dye is manufactured from the aul tree grown in this area. the kotpad handloom fabrics with natural color is its speciality. saree & shawl are the most improtant & attractive textile products from the kotpad weaving community.the textile are very comfortable to wear during summer & winter.
It is eco-friendly,non-toxic & hence non-harmful to the skin . in fact, it is even said that the magic weaves of koraput actually have a healing effect.
Travelling to sonepur :- Distance between Bhubaneswar to Koraput is 481 kms,by road & 645 kms by rails.
